condensation ... on the outside?

doing my usual climate control wise, set to 'auto' anywhere between low and 17 degrees, 2-3 bars on the power/strength thingy.

after i've been driving for a few mins with clear screen etc, i start to see what looks like small areas of condensation running along bottom of windscreen where it meets the dash. i've noticed this before in the years i've had the car whilst the screen was clearing but always on the inside as you'd expect.

now, once or twice over recent days i've been getting the same bits of condensation and a slightly larger patch further up the screen ... on the outside





any ideas what's causing this?

Mine does it too sometimes. It's the weather. Your air con cools the screen down and it's warm and damp outside. this equals condensation.



Also in the winter sometimes if it's raining your screen will make steam from the outside where the warm/hot screen boils the rain.

mind now at rest, thank you. just seems weird it's never done it in 4+ years, maybe just various factors on the day.
