Hi, if you're not driving that hard, then most 'standard' off the shelf stuff from gsf is good enough, what you've been quoted for will pribaby do the trick also.
I know the ferodo premier pads are pretty reasonable, (cost/life span and quality) but I've never fitted them to a leon Cupra/r

I've just done the fronts and rears on my cupra r and I'm glad I replaced the pads with ferodo ds2500's on the front with drilled and grooved disks and pagid's on the rear. I can honestly say its worth it, I was working with the logic that there's no point having a fast car if you can't stop it lol.

yeh i carnet afford to spend a fortune on new brakes as ive also got service new battery and 4 new tyres to purchase so as i dont use car massivley and never hard look for cheapest but best i can get... anyone used Mtec discs and Mintex pad set up?

I can appreciate that, I don't drive a massive amount myself. I've seen average reviews of Mintex, but I guess if you're on a budget you want to find the best of a cheap bunch. I think you can find OEM disks for fairly cheap?

so i have a choice atm:

Mtec drilled and Grooved front discs and mintex pads £160

EBC Ultimax standard discs and EBC Ultimax standard pads £170
or
Pagid Discs and Tarox Pads £150

Which would you buy

I have the mtec drilled and grooved with mintex (on a TDI150 diesel) and they are better than the OEM discs with pgid pads. There is definitely less brake fade and I actually got the whole lot for cheaper than OEM.

Hi
From my experience with the brembo brake set up they dont like the mintex pads they constantly squeek. I would go for something like the euro car parts pagid disc an pad. Or similar.
