Hi folks,

Just got myself a Connects2 Aux adaptor tonight, and unless I want to run it attached to the end of the changer cable in the boot (which I don't!) I'm going to need a shorter CD changer cable. I assume that's correct.. what has everyone else done... and where is the best place to get one?

Getting impatient to get my connects2 box working now!

Cheers

ah so could you use it to run an amp to power some better build speakers

No, all the devices I listed are devices which output audio to the head unit.

If you want to use an amp, you need either an amp with high-level inputs, or a converter (from autoleads) to convert from high level inputs (from the speaker-outputs built into head unit) to low level Phono/RCA line level inputs for the external amp.

Cheers.. I tried them but they can't help, but they suggested running a phono cable all the way back from the boot to the head unit and leaving the connects2 in the boot. I really don't want to do this..

Does nobody have any advice?

Where do I get the cable between the head unit and the cd changer - as short as possible - and possibly from a Leon..

I've tried Seat (two garages) both took a fair while to understand I meant the changer cable, and neither stock them. Both seemed confused as to why I would want one, and had never had a request for one before. Neither have been able to help!!
