Hi all, I have had a problem with my central locking recently. Before my fob stopped operating the central locking via remote, I replaced the passenger side central locking module as this was not locking the door (common fault on Seat and VW) which works perfectly now. May I also mention I have an aftermarket Sony radio installed but I doubt that could be the cause (or could it?) On top of that my driver side indicator lamp has stopped flashing (maybe because remote fob not synced with module?) and my headlight 'on' buzzer doesn't sound when door is open and ignition is off and key removed. I have tried the Seat method of reprogramming the key by inserting it into the ignition and pressing buttons as well as using two keys, one in the ignition and one in the drivers door method but no joy. I have connected the car to VCDS and found no faults. I have listed the following problems I'm having below and praying someone could help me and relief this stress! Massive thanks in advance!
⁃ Connect to VCDS, flags up no faults found for convenience comfort module but indicates "not responding" (in German).
⁃ Headlights 'on' warning buzzer doesn't sound when door is open when ignition if off nor does indicator lamp flash for central locking on the door but when connected to VCDS the lamp flashes when carrying out an output test.
⁃ Electric Windows work fine as well as central locking by manually locking and unlocking by key in the door and also inside door card on driver side.
⁃ Fob transmits a strong signal but doesn't connect with the module.
What are the possible problems:
• Do I need to erase and recode keys?
• Break in wiring loom?
• Replace convenience comfort module?
• Coding/Sync issue in module or key?
