I'm not sure if this has happened to anyone else yet or is present in a thread on this board somewhere but I figured it might be worth mentioning.
My FR TDi had been progressively losing coolant over a period of two weeks. The only way I noticed this (worrying) was the constant fan noise which I presumed was the DPF doing its job and I never once received any indication of low coolant on the dashboard, clearly the fans were on too often which was an indicator.
I finally got the AA out to the house to inspect the car to which the guy found that the radiator had a small hole in it from where the fan housing/cowling had been rubbing against it. The car was recovered and taken to the Seat dealership who (obviously) fixed this under warranty.
Has anyone else experienced this?
P.S. Bring back good old fashioned temperature gauges.
