Coolant light beeping/flashing

It's in the garage now, work commences tomorrow. Rad looked corroded on the underside and coolant bottle really is minging. Will update when I get hit with the damage haha

Yeh, you cant tell if its got coolant in it, even shining a powerful LED torch on it. Think its gonna be getting a new one anyway, damn me being so anal about my cars lol

On the upside i got to get the cupra out the garage and drive that to work, half term too so not too busy, heaven!

reckon previous owner might of used rad weld or similar to cure the problem you have got now?
just an idea...

Quite possibly yeh, as its ran fine for 1000 miles and now playing up. Specialist reckons at worst a new radiator and new header tank, which is fine by me but obviously other people, paying that out isnt fine

Sorry I forgot to update this! Ended up being a split coolant pipe somewhere, new one was ordered and fitted the next, with new coolant etc and it's running like a dream again. Think my thermostat is abit temperamental aswell though. It does seem better now mind. Got a new one on order as soon as I get my vin number, along with new front discs and pads, then it should be good for winter

forgot to update, cleaned sensor prongs with a toothbrush and bit of WD40 on the sensor.....no more light or beeping cheers guys
