Hi guys. Sister fr is slowly loosing coolant. One of the pipes between the engine and bulkhead had split. Replaced it and it fixed it or so I thought. The coolant is still going somewhere. Had two mechanics look at it and can't find the issue. One idea is the egr cooler? I know dark side do a delete pipe for the metal egr cooler setup. Anyone used one? Any other ideas where these cars leak from? Radiator seems ok as well.
Cheers

When I had a coolant leak, it turned out to be the seals in the pipes that connect the heater matrix to the bulkhead. As the seals are part of the heater matrix, it wasn't a expensive fit.

Do you find the interior of the windscreen in the morning has a lot of moisture internally?

Hmm interesting badger. The windscreen is usually ok in the morn. So ur saying it could be the pipes that attach the heater matrix to the stubs on the bulkhead?

It's an option, but it's hard to test unless you're up to pressure and let the water pump run the coolant round with the heater on full blow.

Oil cooler is still an option and so is the coolant temperature sensor.

So if I get the old girl up to temp, 90, rev the engine to get the water pump to pump where should I then look? Engine bay or inside car. I know where the pipes enter the bulkhead to feed the matrix....
Does the oil cooler leak inside then? Only way to test that is remove and replace with a new one?

You really have to look carefully at the seals at the bulkhead for moisture or leaking, it is difficult but you'll see if it's leaking obviously.

Ok I'll give it a bash when I get the car back.
Does the oil cooler, the square but at the bottom of the oil filter leak? I see u can get a rubber seal gasket which I would presume seals it to the oil filter housing?

06 plate. Had another mechanic look at it and it seems it's the t piece but at the back of the engine, right behind the main air duct that goes across the engine. The mechanic I usually use repaired it about 9 months ago but it seems not that well. Other garage said it's weeping from that area. Thanks for the thoughts an ideas though guys.
