Hi folks,

Got a bit of a problemo.

Came out to the car this morning and there was a nasty wet puddle under the engine bay.:censored: [:@]

It appears to be coolant as its pink, watery and doesn't smell plus the temperature warning light keeps flashing...oh aye and the tank is all but empty.

Topped it up when I got to work and it appears that it is collecting on the frame at under the firewall where all the heater type hoses etc are.

Has anyone else experienced this and have a rough idea what and how much its going to cost??

Cheers

Dave

When I had a leak it was the radiator, as documented in this old thread.

All I can suggest is that you get it up on ramps or axle stands or the like, take off any undertray and have a good poke about to see where it's coming from. It sounds like a small leak, but there should be marks where the coolant has dripped or run down.

If its not the rad leaking it'll be a radiator hose that's either split or come loose,

You can Probably pick up a new or 2nd hand radiator on eBay for under £50..... It's not hard to fit a new radiator either :)

Dan, this is a V5 so the layout is different - the thermostat housing is a separate piece bolted to the end of the head, with CTS and thermostat in it. I assume it's this piece and not the piece on the end of the top hose that's broken.
