Had electric drive fault yellow light then two minutes later Red coolant light. Car off the road for 3 weeks and now at a main dealer as only time I could get it booked in .
They have done a diagnosis on it so it's the heat exchanger TO START OFF WITH !£1100 .
Bought this car from Motorpoint November last year . Needed new Shock £400 , plug in for charging up broke another £400. Is it just me or is this car a heap of junk ?
I have never had so many problems with a car in my life at sich a short age

The HV chiller unit isn't covered by the 8 year battery cover. Your dealer will have to check for factory goodwill on the part to see of they'll offer any contribution towards the repair.

Someone else on here has just been in the same situation.

Mine was replaced using the 8 year warranty. Maybe due to the previous repair to the HV system under warranty though

If you had an extended warranty policy live, they would have more than likely claimed the repair through that.

The battery cover is literally for the battery only.

I did ask the question and the dealer did say it was against the battery warranty. Perhaps the battery warranty includes all the gubbins required to work the battery ie. The cooling system etc.

Obviously they may not be able to discuss my car directly but you can always give West End Skoda in Stirling a call, they are the EV specialist for VAG in my area and have always been good for me with random questions etc.

Just a wee update . It's was the heat exchanger . When you open up the coolant if it rises that a sign it's the heat exchanger seemingly.
Total cost £1176 Arnold Clark Seat . The Motorpoint warranty paid out £850 of it due to limited labour amount on policy and other wee bits and bobs. Was hassle 4 weeks without car but it's all good now for the time being until the next thing ha
