cooling fan?

hi the radiator fan on my cordi 99 1.6 , those not spin all the time , well I never sin it spin , I was wondering if it was normal ?

try running the car for about 15mins on your drive should then, but in normal driving I never hear ours too.

well that is the problem ; even if I drive for several hours and open the hood , I don´t see it spin.

that sounds normal, mine is the same, hardly ever hear it going even if I have done 200 miles.
what is them temp display doing?

the temp meter does not work properly, its always on red , I changed a few things, and with my mechanic we drove the car the way it was, and measured the water temps and it was normal. some times it show the right temp and some days not . thanks for your quick reply!!

sounds like the temp sender to me

the temp sender? you mean the thermosta?

ho yes , it is new too, so is the thermostat,the thermostat chamber, and the water pomp.

no not the therstat but the temp sender, if them water temp is ok as you have checked it but the gauge reads high int. that would be the first thing I would change.
it should be a 4 pin conector that is screwed into the head, follow the water pipes from the rad and you should find it.

good news I actualy saw my cooling fan spining the othyer day , I can say that it is a quiet one !!!!!!
