Hi,
I was wondering if anyone could help me with an issue I am having with my 2006 Leon TDI.
One day the red light by the temp gauge started flashing. The temperature was on 90 so I proceeded to check the coolant level. Upon checking this I found there was nothing in the bottle so I left the car to cool down before removing the cap to top it up. When I opened the cap it was like the system was still under pressure (even thought I had left it overnight) and the bottle then filled itself back up upon removal of the cap?!
I changed the thermostat as first port of call but whilst trying the bleed the system I noticed there was no flow back to the expansion bottle. I have now since changed the cambelt and water pump but there still seems to be no flow?
What else could be causing this? Have I just not carried out the bleeding of the system right or cold there be a blockage? If a blockage what could cause this?
Regards
Ollie
