cordoba need for speed!

hey ppl i have a 2001 1.4l cordoba signo, and although its a beautiful sporty looking motor its a bit slow off the mark, roughly 0-60mph in 3 days any suggestions for speeding it up a bit?

was thinking more along the lines of engine mods, e.g chipping..........

With a 1.4 its not worth modding it in anyway really, you'll see only minimal gains of probably 20bhp with filter, exhaust and a chip. Sell the car, buy a MK2 Cordy SX and pocket the change

you won't get 20bhp extra out of a 1.4... Probably 5bhp if you did all of the above if you were really lucky. It's just not worth the money when you could sell it and buy a quicker car. A Mk4 TDI 130 would be a quicker car, and probably wouldn't cost much more in insurance.
