Corrosion/Rust on inside lip of front doors

While cleaning my car recently I spotted what appears to to the first signs of corrosion/rust on the inside lip of both front doors, located just down from where the lock is (if that makes sense).

There is a small amount of bubbling which is not obvious and I'm sure most people wouldn't even have spotted it as I like to clean around the doors and boot I did.

The car is 3 years old in a week so I was pretty shocked to see it. I wondered if any other people have experienced this?

I'm guessing it would be covered by the anti corrosion warranty but I'm wondering what they would do to fix it because I suspect the corrosion is also under the lip on the door skin which wraps around from the front to the back.

How long does the anti corrosion warranty last?? There are points inside my boot that have rusted too and was unsure what to do about them

How do you prove that?

I'm pretty sure it is as it's on the inside of the door and so hasn't been caused my a chip etc.

Think someone has to assess the rust for the warranty. Salesman just told me I stood no chance and pointed me to the body shop along the road.
Annoys me that a car can show signs of rust after a few years. Yet I've owned 20 year old 205 GTI's with no rust at all
