Hi all,

I am really concerned that the quality of the horn on my Cupra is very poor, its a single..

My question is, if I fit a new horn set will I upset the canbus on the car?

Thanks

Agreed, should have one either side, I am sure the passenger side on mine was the low tone and drivers side was the high tone.

Low tone went first, just outsdie of warrenty, a month later the high tone went too.

Got replacements from David at seremotors.

I had this with my car and the passenger side horn had failed. Got it replaced under warranty.

Just check which one isn't working and replace it. Its and easy job and you can get horns on ebay or from sere.

I replaced my standard (single tone piece of crap) with a twin PIAA Sports Horn set, high&low tone. It's unbelievabley loud and sounds great!

It does take a little bit of bodging, I used some 5W amp wire and some spade connectors from halfords to ensure a good quality fit of the electrical bits.

Took me about an hour or so to do.

The easiest way I found was to jack up the front left wheel with it on full right lock, loosened the arch liner, the access is pretty unrestricted!

Greg.

Friend of mine had an 'Awooga' horn fitted to his piece of **** Fiesta when he first started driving.

Was brilliant, people would turn thinking it was a nice classic motor or just jump out of their skin.
