Cruise control indicator??

When I have the cruise control on in my car there is no light displayed on the dash whereas a friend of mine has the Large mfd and his shows the symbol when cruise control is on.

Does the small mfd not have this light?

I'm afraid not...

I have the small mfd and I also do not have any indication of when it's on...

We just have to tough it up I guess.....

But the cruise control symbol is in your speedo cluster isn't it, so why would a large mfd matter?

mine has a small symbol in th speedo too

I got an indicator on the dash in the speedo or rev counter - very handy.

I also have the small display and the symbol does not appear when I use cruise control, however when the sun shines on the clocks you can see the symbol on the speedo? Has anyone with the small display have this working?

Nope, I had a pre facelift 58 plate FR 170 derv with the large MFD and it had a green light on the dash. Sadly it didn't have a light for low shreen wash fluid.

Pain in the ass at times, yeah I can see it in the cluster which is why I thought maybe something wasnt right

My old Leon has a cruise control indicator? That was a 2006 model...

I have a 2006 model, old style dials with small screen, no light shows up on the dash with cruise on.

Should I have a light?

Also, nothing for when the screen wash is empty, which is annoying.

If you can get access to VAGCOM/VCDS then go into the Instruments control unit and in the adaptions or coding menus there is a "cruise cont. display" that you may be able activate.
