Hi everyone ive got a problem I cant think what it could be hope someone can help.

The problem is when at low revs and acceletating hard there is a noticable change in noise it goes from normal to loud and what sounds like induction roar but with a slight grinding/vibration noise in the car at low speed. Not so noticable through 3rd -6th I think it could be a driveshaft/diferential problem. Had it in the garage for this problem they checked the exhaust and changed ball joint and tie ends and they noticed some oil coming from the drive shaft but said it was not bad.

No vagcom error codes so the lump is fine and turbo sounds fine and no oil, smoke or codes????

dose anyone have any ideas what this could be plewse help!!

Found out today what was causing the noise. Whilst on my way to the shops I heard a loud bump the my car started to sound like a tracktor. So I pulled over and had a look under the car at the exhaust nothing I could see so I popped the bonnet only to find my engine sitting at a slant.

Turns out the engine mount at the right hand side where all pulies and belts are had totaly failed.

Got it to the garage towed so lets see how much this repair will cost and hoping there is no further dammage.

Thanks anyway guys/gals

eng mount

hopefully its just come loose
what happens is if the car has had a cambelt and they havnt done up the bolts correctly it can snap the engine block
seen this happen before when i was at dealers
