Lazer cut alloys.....I had a DS4 from work where this happened at 6 months in. They were replaced under warranty and failed again at 18 months.

I wouldn't have lazer cut alloys on a car now

Just had a claim knocked back by SEAT exactly the same problem and age, Customer Service appears to have gone back the way it was..

If used in the winter on salty roads it's sadly how they'll look after a while.

My fronts are perfect just both rear wheels are affected. the lacquer dosent appearto be broken either. For an expensive car shocking and not so shocking the Customer service going backwards.

Hmm, I'll not hold out much hope then. If they're not interested then I guess I'll get them refurbed (and repaired where Mrs has kerbed them) and have them fully coated.

On the subject of kerbing, the original Bridgestones didn't have any rim flange, and the PSS I've got now are supposed to have rim flanges, but they're not that deep. Is it just the combination of wheel width vs tyre width that makes the rim flanges almost non-existant?

All 4 of mine are still sound, but I do wax them as it says in the user manual, and spray sealer on every time I clean the car, which isn't every week either. Car nearly 2 years old and 13000+ miles.

Sealed mine too and try to give them a good clean. I am thinking of buying a separate set of wheels for winter.

What spray on sealer do you use? Always fancied doing this but was put off as thought sealers had to be put on with cloth like a Polish and I can't be arsed ;)
