Hi all
Looking at replacing my 2019 leon estate 2.0tsi 190 with a cupra leon estate.
The ones I have seen (2022,2023) seem to have a 190bhp engine.
I was hoping to get the 245 engine.
Would the 190 be the same engine as my old leon (thus remappable)? Or it it returned one with the delphi ecu?
Thanks in advance

It depends. For my 2024 Cupra Leon V with the 190hp engine (DNNA), it has the MG1 ECU which is seemingly only just getting unlocked.
Thanks for that. it seems that the tsi 190 engine is indeed locked. I also looked at a formentor but that has the same issue.
It seels like £3-400 just to unlock it even before the map!
looking at the cost of it and the insurance I might just go and get a seat leon cupra 300!!

Yep, not cheap.

I have since found one local Tuner here in Adelaide that can do it, and with a Dynotune and TCU remap, they are charging A$1,895 (about 1,200 Euro/GBP 985) .

Much cheaper than trading up to a VZx Leon !

^^^^

Have you thought of getting a plug 'n' play Tuning Box from someone like DTE Systems ?

No need to break open the ECU. 😉 😉
