Also got this straight after it, earlier in the day I did get a message along the lines of saying please check sensor something obstructing view? Checked it and there was nothing there!

What a pain the arse! I know people say not to worry its covered, it's more the inconvenience of having to take it to the dealers and be without your car for a while. Hope I don't see this message....

Hopefully,
A) They will acknowledge the issue
B) They won't take my car off me as it seems to be a loose wire somewhere other than an actual gearbox issue.

We shall see . It is a tad disappointing though as the car is freaking amazing.

I havent had the issue since, but I have 13 errors that show up in VCDS for module 2 which is the auto box.

Had exactly the same error on Monday dropped the car off this morning and a new gear linkage being fitted tomorrow two days without the car which is a pain, only had the car a week and she's spent more time at the dealers than on the road

Cars back in on Friday to have the alloys re done as they've curbed them and they have attempted to fix them by sanding them back which as you have probably guessed wrecked them.

Had a few seats now and this is by far the best just seems to be the car and attention is missing from the dealers

Garage just phoned to say new gear box housing thingy being fitted but not until tomorrow. 24 hrs without my pride and joy is not the best but at least it should get sorted.

Car fixed and back but the handbrake leather stitching has come away so new one on back order. Car is back in on Friday to have the alloys looked at again

I've just realised you're the guy from MLR that replied to my newbie thread.

Sorry for going off topic :)

Hello! I'm doing the opposite!

I still think the DSG version of this car is the best, it's just a shame our cars are screwed together by Spaniards

I agree. But I ordered a Manual for 2 reasons.

1) Soon there will be no more manuals, so I want one before it's not an option anymore.
2) I'm tight, and the paddles were an extra 1300 quid

As it's a VAG product, I doubt the DSG issues will go un-resolved.

Had this warning just now, too. If they have to order/fit new parts they may as well do my steering wheel at the same time!
