I have fitted a second aux radiator in my Leon on the left hand side as you face the car.

The Wheel arc liner is solid on that side of the car but on the right hand side there is a opening to allow the air to flow freely through the wheel arch.

Does anybody know if the Golf R (from 2014) liner would fit on the Leon or are there any other Later Leons that have the second radiator fitted as standard and would still fit the pre facelift car.

We have drilled lots of holes in the original arch liner to allow the air out but would like to fit something a little more OEM if possible.

It is for me, I am guessing that not many people on this forum have fitted the extra radiator and thus haveing to modify the wheel liner.

I didn't know it was something on the 5f, but when I had my 1.8T track car, I .modified the arch liner with the one found on the Audi TT BAM version, so I guess the VAG group will just make savings where they can. (Equally guaranteeing interchangeability)

Might be worth posting the details on the mod, to drum up some 🤔-ing

Thanks, yes did that a while ago, I would stress that some 5f motors do have the second rad so I will have to modify it to get the full benefit of the radiator.

There’s not something random like the LHD version of the arch liner has ventilation in it? Like the passenger sun visor (which for LHD is drivers side) doesn’t have the airbag sticker on it if you order the LHD part number

As we know each country has a different spec (I think the Importer makes the call). so on my UK 2014 drivers side does not have an AUX Radiator nor the grills to go with it. However the Golf R Did.

I think I am going to buy a arch that has the grills and then cut my liner and just fit the grill part to the car.

i am also looking at doing some piping to get more air to the brakes but that is not a high priority job at the moment.

Thanks to all for your feedback
Much Appreciated.
