hey guys... I'm new to this forum so firstly, hello, Im Ryan from Newcastle and drive a Cupra 280 in grey with the orange line pack ( that's the ice breaker out the way) haha.

I'm wanting to do a few mods to the cupra but nothing silly, im really not sure what i could do or where to start. I was looking to get a new exhaust and a remap put on the car but im not sure which is a good exhaust or a good place to get a remap.
if any of you guys could help me out or have any ideas what i could do to the car that would be great, i was wondering about some body kit but dunno if this would look daft. please help xD

Exhaust is up for debate, personally I'm not a fan of the 4 tips look so that rules out miltek. I'd probably go for the RS4 look that you can get with a Powervalve exhaust (people here refer to it as BCS I think) but they do do a 4 tips exhaust if that's your preference.
As for remap loads of people will say I'm wrong but there is the chance that VW/Seat find out when it is plugged in and it will lose its warranty. So my preference is a tuning box.

Thanks, I have been looking at some body kit done by a company called 'JE design' im not sure if they are any good. Regarding the tuning box would you recommend one or are they all the same?

as above, milltek or bcs. However if you get a full exhaust system your warranty (engine related anyway) is likely gone anyway so go get yourself a decent map, be rude not too. APR or Revo are the usual national ones but i like a decent local guy any day so i use shark performance. Dont know who to go to in Newcastle but i am sure there are others who do. Where's big fish for instance..?

JE Design are fairly famous, but I would steer clear of wasting money on stuff like that until you are bored. Power first :)

Fitting my dtuk box on my cupra 280 later this week so I'll let you know how it is and if I think it's worth the £400

Out of curiosity do the Cupra's suffer with the same wheel hop the GTI has? I'm guessing they must as power levels are already higher at standard! Unless you guys don't get the car shipped with Bridgestones like we do!

Do a little bit. They come with continental contact 5 tyres and they seem to be ok

The bridgestones quickly got sold on and replaced with Michelin Pilot Super Sports. Night and day to say the least.

Now on winters although still waiting for anything resembling winter.

For information DTUK is based in Stanley in Durham. Call for a chat, only down the road.

Yeah I've been looking into DTUK think I'm definitely going to get one. I've ordered an R600 intake and book my car in for powervalve exhaust. I'm just trying to find some good lowering springs if anyone could advise which ones I could get for my car.

Also Does anyone know anyone who could do a vinyl design for my cupra?
