I've been considering taking my cupra to 280-300bhp (currently 204), and i have spoken to a few people about how to and where to take it to.

What i've been told is that a K04 turbo from an audi tt 225 and the injectors from them aswell. And then a remap.
This seems a bit brief, so what else would i need?

Please help :)

Or just get your turbo made into a hybrid (basicaly a k04 put inside a k03 housing) then you can still use your exhaust, oil & water lines etc. But you will still need LCR/TT injectors and MAF pluss a high flow manifold.

Check out Badger5's section for more info or search for "k03 hybrid"..

Your budget would also help..

yeah thats the road im going down with hybrid cr turbo.s are pritty helpfull

so if i went for a k04 turbo then i'd need to change exhaust, oil & water lines etc?
or can it run simply by the turbo, other sensors, injectors and remap?

k04 is a pain to do theres a lot of work to set it up...

Far more simple and cost effective to hybrid a k03-03s...

Doing mine ATM turbo should be back on Tuesday from cr turbos. Think it's 495 +vat for the turbo bought maf, injectors and fpr second hand for around 200 and mani was brand new from america and exhuast of ure choose think all in all with fitting and map coat about 1500

There are other routes for more power have a search ko3s maybe.

also would anyone rate them tubular mani off ebay as they look well cheap

Search button towards the top right hand corner is a good start....put in Hybrid

no idea by what you mean "can it run simply by the turbo, other sensors etc"

and no, re routing of FMIC pipework too

secondly budget for at least 3k if you are getting someone else to do it

going from 200bhp - 280+ is very costly

what manifold is it mate you got any pics many thanks

Yeh ina one I got from America. Was 203 I think with the exchange ATM. Got no pics so it's just a. Cast one prob some pics around some where.

As for the tubular ones are poo I think prob not very strong prone to cracking I think and can't be very good for that price

Just to ask, how much power can standard mani take with ko3 hybrid?

strangle point is around 250bhp

no point doing a hybrid and running a standard manifold as it restricts the power from the hybrid

I've told you what you need to do fella ;)

And the money you have "coming" aint gonna see you for 300bhp. Don't mean to piss on your bonfire or owt... Gonna cost a fair amount to get that! Big brakes will cost best part of £1k alone. FMIC about £750ish (if forge). And you want wheels. That's almost £2k gone straight away ;)

what he said^^:D

budget for 5k+ if you want all the goodies to go with the turbo kit too (oh hang on, thats the price of a car:cartman:)

my k04 conversion cost me in the region of 450 pounds at the end and thats after selling the old turb, old lines, etc...

i paid around 400 for:

K04 turbo
oil and water lines
injectors of a TT
downpipe (Tho i bought a 2.5'' downpipe for 100 pounds later on)
standard manifold
SAMCO turbo intake pipe

sold k03 for 30 quid, old downpipe for 30 or so, old injectors for 30...
all fitted by myself so no labour costs...

off the top of my head thats what it cost me for the k04 conversion

did it on the engine out of the car too which made it easier, but its not hard at all, tho you do have to modify the oil return line, as it fouls on the ibiza rear engine mount

EDIT: Oh and youll have to budget for a remap aswell... i run aftermarket ecu, so i just uploaded a new pre made map to run the lot, and i also had an FMIC so if you dont have that, budget that into play...
it was also very easy to mate the standard k03 ally intercooler pipe to the k04 with a 135 degree silicone hose, so if you have the FMIC youll just need the bend to get the cold side of the turbo plumbed in
