cupra 290 exhaust

Im looking for a cupra 290 exhaust! i currently have a cobra exhaust but would like a cupra 290 one ideally!! would swap my cobra one with you! witha little bit like £100-£150 my way due to it being a £900 exhaust system

Why? If it's the pops and crackles when you lift off you're looking for, that's Ecu trickery.

Mines stage 3 running 456 bhp, lol pops and crackles like anything! but i want to get more power and the standard 290/golf r exhaust creates more backpressure and more power at the high end. so if somebody wants a lovely exhaust system for noise and show they could have mine for theres

Ah I see, predominately it's the silencer removal. Hope you source one

i believe its a bigger bore through the exhaust its 3 in instead of 2.5. my cobra is 3 but it just makes noise

U saying the standard exhaust is better? Just the cat back? I'm assuming u have sports cat on car?

The 290 one is when your pushing for numbers and power. And when you go hybrid. The 280 one isn't. If you want more noise thrn aftermarket are better but to produce figures the 290 is better. If you have a 280 like I said the exhaust will have to be changed

What other mods u got on the stage 3? I have milltek cat back, hopefully getting a sports cat soon. Thought turbos are better without back pressure?

I don't know about the miltek one, I have a peron intercooler and a panel filter and intake hose then the big turbo. Decat as well. It doesn't create enough so it loses power

Ah right, what's the peron like? Easy to fit?

At that BHP is the car able to put the power down? what tyres are you running?

No intercooler is easy to fit lol they are a big pain but no cutting needed! And yer 2nd best it wheel spins but 3rd onwards is great. I've got Dunlop sport maxx which are alright. Putting power down is no issue

What company did you use for the remap?

Vrs Northampton did all the work. I believe mrc tuning did the map on the car

Everything all in was about 4K with the intercooler. I already had exhaust and decat even though I'm trying to source a different one.
