Has anyone who is coming towards the end of their 24 month lease requested and extension quote from Seat Finance?

I would have been open to the idea of extending for a further 12 months as I love the car but it seems that some of the VAG brands are providing people with mental quotes for extensions on other forums.

Just sent back the documents this morning for a 1 year extension on mine!

I was paying £306 a month, the extension has dropped it down to £253!

That sounds more promising than hearing people quoted 2x+ current monthlies. How early can you request the quote?

Earliest is 6 months for an extension and 3 months for a purchase price!

Be aware though, takes about 3 weeks for them to get back to you, then once the quote is issued you've only got 7 days to accept!

Seems like they use a random number generator as I have just received the quote for a 12 month extension on my 300 and reducing the annual mileage and the monthly payment has went up from £298/month to £372/month!

I'd heard this too so was worried it was going to be silly money!

For comparison, mines a white 5dr with 10700 miles on the clock, 8k mile allowance, deposit of £1350, originally a 24 month lease!

The only reason the random price generator could kick out out high prices is they feel like they can get some decent prices on a 2 yr old car sold at auction

Agreed, maybe because mine is the 3 door SC DSG version of the 300 which is no longer available there is a premium for this model on the 2nd hand market.

Would have liked to have kept this car for another year but when I can get a brand new 5 door version on lease lower than my current payment it is a bit of a no brainer!
