Anyone else see this sort of a message?

3hrs ago the Aircon was definitely not on... The car was inside the garage and not being charged either. It's a phev.

Yep, quite frequently...
IIRC the former CupraConnect App had less such "fake notifications". With the newer MyCupra App they prioritized looks over functionality (even driving data stats are completely wrong) and every now and then you receive some notification that has nothing to do with the current status of the car. It's as if that notification was stuck somewhere between servers and your phone for hours (or days).
You can force a status update in the App:
MyCupra -> Vehicle -> (scroll down to) Vehicle data -> (click) Update Now.
