Looks good mate. I tried getting the ring round the gearknob off and chipped it by accident. Whats the safest way to do it?

Get a small flatblade screwdriver under the little badge on the top and lift this off. There's a screw there holding the surround on (the bit I've painted). Unscrew it and the surround just lifts away, then simply spray and fit back together :) removing/re-fitting takes all of 2 minutes.

seems quite easy :)

i just tried getting off the the badge thing with the number on but it didnt seem to wanna come off. I didnt want to jam the driver in there then rip out chunks, any best way of doing it??

I ended up using a stanley blade and carefully lifted it off. Wrapped mine in carbon today :D

finally after a whole 30 days of just hanging out of the top i put my tax disc in the actual tax disc holder. bloody security screws on the back are a nightmare.

also tried and failed to fix my lose door blank, it looks like someone has taken a screwdriver to it to try and get it off while the car was being repaired the other week.

any ideas how to fix it?

from various other threads

Took my car in for a service, mot, aircon service, replacement coil packs, both belts and waterpump.

Then i was told there is no point them doing the mot yet as its going to fail on a dodgy headlight bracket, damaged nsr spring, broken exhaust bracket and its going to cost over £900 to fix the steering rack,:scary: i never had any problems with the steering.

took it to another garage for its MOT and its only going to cost me £35 to get the exhaust bracket welded back on, so woop woop no £900 steering rack needed from the stealers.

thank god for super glue holding the light bracket together.

got myself some show plates so my plate isnt show allover the net
