The coil pack went on my 08 K1. Now a few months later another ones gone, phoned up seat uk and been to local dealer and gave them the vin no and ive been told theirs no recall on my car.
Ive read that a few people have had their coilpacks replaced under a recall so is just a coistance that two of mine have gone or are Seat trying to fob me off.

The previous threads on this matter failed to determine exactly which cars were affected by the coilpack problem. It seems that most of the affected cars were registered on a 07 plate with maybe a few just before and just after. The affected coilpacks seemed to bear the part number 07K 905 715C. Not all these were faulty, it just appeared to be a batch of them.
One reason for the coilpacks failing is water getting to them, have you removed your engine cover?

Ill check the part number on them when i get back home. Yea the engine cover was removed but for the last few months ive modified it and put it back on. The previous coilpack that went did have rust on it so i presume thats what caused it to go.

But now anothers gone, might just have to fork out for a set of coilpacks my self.
