Hi, I have read about problems they can cause with boost etc if they are damaged so would like to know what revision valve I'd have already as been looking at purchasing revision G..
My car does make a slight tshh dump valve sound when I let off the revs but at the same time I think it pulls well and also have a 3" de cat down pipe fitted so could it be down to that?

why not just have a look at the part number on it, its not difficult on the cupra

I've had revisions C, D and G and there is no performance advantage from any of them (until they blow their own arse out of course)

Have you looked at the metal replacement from amd?? Looks quite good :)

Black Leon Fr, stage 1, DSG stage 1, carbon grill, BTCC spoiler.

The D and G are the ones to have.

D can leak though, G will leak over time

Im running a G at the moment

The new product on the market looks good but its yet to be tested thoroughly

I have looked at the ones from go fast bits for about £100+ but at the same time I've read to just go for the latest revision.

Will mine be leaking as it makes a nice dump valve noise when I let off throttle? I have a feeling that mine is revision D for some reason..
How much did revision G cost and where from?

They are supposed to make a noise, Best thing is to take yours off and see what revision it is and check it over firstly

Its quite simple i cant post pictures because im at work.

On the Cupra/Cupra R the DV is located at front of engine, Remove engine cover, Unclip the plug on it then undo the 3 bolts holding it in.

Oh doesn't sound too tricky, reckon you could get me pictures though so I know what am looking for please..

From google ^

Be careful not to drop anything down the pipe once the valve is off

The black plastic lump is the DV with 3 bolts holding it in, once you undo them it simply pulls out.

Rev G and Rev C will be made of rubber and you will be able to see any splits or holes in it, D is plastic so you will be looking for cracks etc in it

Once you go to refit it, undo the black metal bracket first this makes it easier to fasten back

Worth getting this thread stickied if there isn't one like it already, good useful information with pics too.
