I did read up before getting my new cupra but only found out about the door locking problem afterwards. To be fair I did check them when I looked at the car and they all worked then anyway.

I know there are loads of threads with info on this issue and I have bookmarked the guides to change the locking modules. Passenger door has been the most unwilling to open but still does open on occasion and I have taken the precaution of removing the screws at the base of the door card just in case (and the drivers door too) hopefully they won't all stay locked before I change them!

First thing I noticed was that the doors wouldn't open back up when I got home, then only the rear doors and boot would open then finally the front doors opened up. Next was that the car locks itself and after leaving it for a while I find the car has unlocked itself.

I have used my vgate vs890 but there are no fault codes present. So I have a couple of questions, first - is changing the lock modules the way to go based on the problems I've described?

Second - the boot lock has also been playing up but I can't find any guide on how to change the lock module in there, can anyone help with that?

Thanks!

The boot one is probably the easiest to change, just remove the boot plastics and its an unbolt and change jobbie.

As for the rest of the doors, the locks are prone to go at some point, I currently have a door that won't open at all!

Changing them would be my first point.
