The specs do vary by country. It doesn't surprise me the UK ones are different. Historically the German market has all the Seat / Cupra goodies. The place to look for goodies not in other markets.

Generally you table by country the options and what is in them. Only for research purposes unless a personal import is on option. For the UK, the Eire options can be interesting. Ofcourse Australia and NZ are right hand drive which you would think are equivalent to the UK. The whole VZclassification are marketing levels combined with specs. Seat had the Xcellence which then got changed to something else... Cupra got the VZ initials and classification but as said regionally what's in the package may be different by region.

Recently took ownership of my 2024 Formentor VZx, replacing my 2019 Skodia Octavia vRS245, which has been a brilliant car. I spent the last year trying to find something that ticks as many boxes as the Octavia and it seemed an impossible task until a mate suggested I look at the Formentor VZx. I was blown away from the get-go. The versatility and power are immense. The interior is a really nice place to be. It handles, it goes, it looks fantastic, has similar space to the Octavia but smaller boot. The Octavia was very German - precise in its execution and well thought out in everything it did. The Formentor is very Spanish – always leaves you with a smile but overlooks some basics – how could they overlook backlit keys for the touch bars on the dash?!? Other things I'm missing from the Octavia:
- Can't create user profiles that link driver preferences to a key e.g. settings for seat, mirrors, air con, radio, etc. This was excellent in the Octavia and meant when I used my key to open the door, the car would automatically adjust everything to my settings. Same for my wife etc.
- Can't use OBD11 to permanently disable stop-start and a host of other annoyances (just ordered the Burteq module to address stop-start)
- No electric front passenger seat - a big miss on the flagship VZx
- No buttons for air con etc
- No rear heated seats
- Cupra is a new brand in Australia and dealer support for servicing and any potential warranty work is very limited - this almost stopped me from buying the car

All that said, I'm very very pleased with my new car.
