CUPRA has announced a sizeable update for the Tavascan line-up, with a new entry-level variant, a revised interior and a number of technology upgrades aimed at making the all-electric SUV coupe more appealing to a wider range of buyers.

The updated range is due to enter production in the coming weeks, with the first customer cars expected to arrive after the summer.

New entry-level Tavascan joins the range

The biggest change is the arrival of a new 140kW / 58kWh version, which gives the Tavascan line-up a lower starting point without moving away from the model’s sporty character.

This new variant uses a 58kWh...

Not sure about this, too many of the current range of CUPRA's with lower power units, to me are not really CUPRA's as this was supposed to be the sporty brand. I have read on this forum many users complaining about the performance of their cars, but what do they expect, with big heavy cars and little power. To me this just down grades the whole CUPRA brand, I liked it better when the Cupra's that SEAT made were all quick and sporty cars with performance the Number one priority.

I agree, and from my experience at Cupra dealers they only really seem interested on pushing the lower power cars and plug in hybrids these days. My local dealer had no performance models as demos.

Well if it was like when I was buying my Ateca 10 years ago the dealer and the HQ decided what cars they were going to push / sell. Thus they decided that the local market and this was up north couldn't support the top range models so the demo models were of lower spec. So hidden hands decided they were only going to show the lower spec cars since they thought they couldn't shift anything else.

I see the electrive web site has its own take on it from the media centre press release

Some enterprising sole could do a matrix of Vag models by feature, screen size etc and see whether the electric models are lining up or which ones have extras or lacking.

Some interesting information in there that the infotainment units are now Android based, dont tell Apple people that. What happened to Car Linux or whatever it was called. Is this the parting of the waves in mib3 for the ice vehicles and the other entertainment systems of the ID models. I'm sure I'll be put straight by @East Yorkshire Retrofits

Well I'm keeping an eye open on EV developments. This one has car to charge or something. This I believe is to power the house in power cuts via the car.... well enough to run the TV and CH. Something the Irish do. Appears in the media centre link:

Practicality meets innovation with vehicle‑to‑load (V2L) capability. This feature allows the car’s battery to power external devices such as laptops, e‑bikes or full‑powered sound systems. Enabled via a dedicated adapter, V2L transforms the CUPRA Tavascan into a portable energy source.

or is that for the toaster on a picnic. Hmmm

Oh well if being serious about it you'd have to see what the Irish get up. 13amp adapter in those images. Solar suppliers would say get a battery backup. Well I reckon with wind and current solar conditions and not using the car for long journeys Octopus Agile is sufficient rather than one of their EV tariffs. You have to pick your weather 🤫. All linked to usage of the vehicle.

Android is just another flavour of Linux developed by Google for mobile devices but uses Linux kernel as its base. I assume is better for the types of apps used on infotainment systems.

Glad to see proper buttons although you di get used to haptic buttons. But still prefer my Ibiza wheel buttons to tour Born. Glad the Raval has clicky buttons too as pretty much certain, I will pre order one.
