There will be many 8x19" wheels out there which will fit your car. As you say, the problem is getting confirmation that any particular wheel will actually fit. When I was looking for 18" wheels for my VZ2 (I went for Borbet LX18), I found the Felgenoutlet website really useful for comparisons, fitting advice etc. They don't deliver to the UK, otherwise I would probably have purchased from there. You previously said you were looking for 18" wheels. Now you have the car, does your Certificate of Conformity say that 18" wheels are an option?

nah, I am looking for 19", there is no way a 18" can clear the akebonos.

edit: the problem with Felgenoutlet and with every other wheel-database is the akebono clearance... you can't filter for that and literally no information is available. EG: I have no idea if I go with a 8x19 ET35 wheel, to help clearing the brake, then what happens with the wheel arch fitment?

edit2: Felgenoutlet lists 9.5" width tires for my car which sounds... nuts? it is hard to believe that won't collide with the car's body (no clue what's the name of that part) when I hit a pothole

No, you can't filter for the brakes specifically. You would need to look at the TuV certificates for the wheels you are interested in to see if they carry the warning code regarding larger brakes. They are available on the Felgen site, which is why I suggested it.

I don't know how helpful Felgen are as I have not used them, but you could ask for their advice. They might ask you for the VIN so that they can decode it for the brake size (I think the build code is 1LF for the 374 Akebono) and then advise you from there.

An alternative would be AlloyWheelsDirect who have been very helpful to me in the past. Don't bother with the configurator, just send them an email.
