At work last night I was talking to a lass who has a Leon Cupra 290, she was saying she has another female friend who has just bought a Leon Cupra 300. The lass I knew has even had her bf mod her car and she is currently on her second Cupra. ⚕️

How many on here know a lass who drives and owns a Cupra?

I’m sure most of the posts her have been placed by men buts it’s interesting to know some lasses have taste and a need for the smile and power a Leon Cupra offers.

Sort of related, my Finance Manager has an Elise S2, and She is very interested in the ST 300 4Drive I have on order, mainly because it outpaces (on paper) her ride. They are definitely out there.

LOL

You certainly see many an interesting sporty ride being piloted by females these days
- some of which seem to have better taste in cars than the 'men' seen driving things like
Bini Pacemans, Nissan Jokes and the like painted in delicate pretty colours...

On a slightly different tack, I encouraged Father to consider a compact SUV, (mostly for
practical reasons) along with the Leon and another car sort of halfway between in stature.

He proclaimed that SUV's were cars for women - purely on the basis that he saw lots of
women driving them.

For all you male SUV owners, I did point-out to him that SUV's were just popular these
days and have largely replaced the family 5-door hatch. He is a stereotypical old-fart in
his opinions of mostly, errr... everything

Can easily be a woman's car, but she needs to be a lesbian

Or her mans car just needs to be better.....

Haha, interesting question.
I told my friend to look at the advertisement of leon and ibiza, when he was buying ibiza.

In ibiza's ad there are teenage girls driving around, partying, going to beach having fun. Whereas leon looks like this.

My friend ended up buying leon fr.

Indeed - it's all right in theory if people complain about male drivers still being sexist, but the car makers
themselves, (or their marketing departments) are still at it, if a little more subtly than was years ago.

I found it annoying when I bought my first new car back in 1990 that FIAT always aimed Panda adverts,
(around that time) exclusively to young women, despite their Panda ads being gender-neutral in earlier
years. This was even more galling when I read that 60% of UK Panda sales went to men anyway.

Would be interesting if anyone knows the percentage of female Cupra buyers...

My wife preferred the GT86, because she wanted to keep her ticket free record. her first comment after driving the Cupra was that it didn't like doing the speed limit. She also likes manuals, she's quite upset at having to give them up.

Sadly my wife now as a 1.6tdi grand c max as she has the family car, but

Once upon a time, this was our drive

Were you on the CTRO / TRO? Recognise the name. You posted heavily on dashcams if I am correct.

yup, I am on both although I have not posted or logged on to CTRO for quite some time. I met my wife via CTRO, but most of the guys I know post on TRO

I have a dashcam post going when I first invested in one, 5 years ago. Don't update that so much these days mind

Yes. I’m on both as well. Glad to have met a fellow EP3 owner. Need to get the Cupra to handle more like an EP3. That could be fun.

Having been in a furby and then an Octavia estate, the fr handles like a dream, lol

That's a pity really. Car manufactures targeting specific audience in their ads thus turning away some customers
( and perhaps attracting more buyers of that category ).

I can't think of any car other than beetle that does not suit men.
