Would love to be able to have another car so my LCR could be a track car. I'd strip it, cage it, LSD it etc! Would be mint.

Got back from my Nurburgring trip 2 days ago, had a fantastic time and really didnt want to leave. Now thinking about planning my brothers stag party over there.
Anyway give me a few days to compose pictures and edit them and it write a detailed account of my trip.

NURBURGRING TRIP JULY 2011
We started our journey to Dover at 5.30Am whilst it poored with rain, after cleaning my car for 4hours the day before, I wasnt happy! We caught a ferry to Dunkirk as it was about a half hour less of a drive from Calais.

The roads over there are unbelievably quiet and no congestion. We landed in Dunkirk at about 11.30ish and arrived at our holet at 4.30. We travelled the E40 all the way Aachen and then took the 258 Which led us all the way into nurburg itself. Once you hit the 258 the roads are beautiful snaking through forests and valleys. I really recommend going this way if anyone decides to go.
We got to our hotel just in time for the track to open so we headed down there and got 2 laps in. My first ever lap i did in a sub 10min, which my friends were very impressed with.
Then i did another lap the next morning before breakfast and got a passenger ride in a 911 GT3 RS. Such an insane car and lap which i will never forget.
Speaking to the guy whos hotel we stayed in was telling us how much quieter the ring is this year. Last year he said you could get over taken on every corner but this year if you do an early morning lap or a late evening lap you can get round the track without even seeing another car. I was pleased to have found this out myself. In the afernoons we walked around the carparks and travelled to some track side viewing areas to take photos.
Heres a couple of the better pictures i took.
I wont go photo crazy as it will cluter up my thread, i took over 700 photos.
But if anyone wants to see more just ask and il put some more up.
We booked the trip knowing that Fri, Sat, Sun and Mond were Tourist days but 2 weeks before with went, the Mond was booked for a Private track day. So that day we just took photos and chilled out.
The track was closed off alot of the time for accidents, The lap i went out in the 911 a Kawasaki ninja flew past us down the hill towards Adenaurer Forest and by the time we got to Kallenhard corner we saw the rider picking his bike up out of the barrier. He looked abit shook up. And when we were driving around looking fo places to take photos the track was closed for 3hours due to a Porsche coliding with another motorcyclist.
In the end i drove 5 laps round the track, on my last lap i approached Aremburg corner which you approach pritty fast into a +90 degrees corner so you have t brake pretty hard. I hit my brakes and had no response so i pushed down on the pedal even harder but it made no difference. Luckily i managed to slow down enough to get round the corner. I think my brake fluid had boiled up so i decided to call it a day, i had a few scary moments that lap and thought it was best to come home in one peice.

On our last night we hired some push bikes because the people we were staying with recommended that we ride round the track. MY GOD when your driving the lap you dont realise how steep all the hill are. The 3km uphill section from Bergwerk to the Karussell we ended up walking but between the Karussell and Hohe Acht, that was the steepest part of the track. With a half hour stop at the Karussell for a breather and photos it took us 2.30hours.
My bit of advice before anyone goes is to Have a decent set of tyres on your car, it makes alot of difference. Change you Brake fluid before you go and i think a set of suspension on the car would make driving round the track alot more enjoyable. Iv got standard suspension on and my car struggled in the corners.
Over all with 5 laps, the journey there and back and alot of driving around, I did 3 tanks of fuel which suprised me. and my over all trip milage is below.
Now were planning to go back next year in April for my brothers Stag Party

Im uploading a video of my lap onto youtube at the moment and ill link it to my thread.
I videoed 5 laps but my friend decided to delete them all bar this one. i decided to take my time on this lap and learn the turn i points on each corner. By the time i reached Hacheichen i got abit carried away and justput my foot down.
I think this lap was 10mins exactly from BtoB

Awesome, looks like it was a great time out there. Push bikes on the track is jokes. Can't wait to head up there sometime soon!!

I gave my car to my brother today, to take to work and do its yearly service and MOT. (He works for VW)
I get a phone call from him at lunch time saying "i wont do your service yet as youve got bigger problems"
I thought GREAT!!!!
I need new rear shocks as there leaking, New ARB as 2 Tags have snapped off the arb due to worn bush, new top mounts and new wishbones as all the bushes have excessive wear.
Luckly he might be able to get the parts with discount and do the work FOC.
