Sent these pictures, and several others to the SEAT dealer I bought the car from 6 months ago. According to them, the reinforcing pins aren't visible on the pads, and the pins aren't starting to score the discs. 6mm of friction material left on the pads, and wear warning light isn't illuminated. The car has 18 months SEAT warranty remaining. Aside from being a potential safety issue, if the damage gets worse, eventually that will be £1k + for new brakes then?

Do you replace parts when they are half worn?

I would probably throw a new set of pads on it and change the discs next time around

At £600+ for discs, I'd investigate having them skimmed.
