Just bought mine 2 weeks ago, LCR 2003, stage one revo, FSSH, 40000 mls, black, body work in excellent condition no dings or dents, payed a bit over 9000.......well worth it for the fun factor, getting 35mpg on a steady 60-70mph run, which is a bonus.

I went through the exact same thing 2yrs ago.:D

I too ruled out the rx8 because it was too expensive so took a test drive of the Cupra R and Civic type R. I'm led to believe the civic will beat the Cupra R to 70mph but the Cupra is quicker off the starting block.
In the Civic I found I didn't like the gear stick in the dash board and that you have to thrash it. I just preferred the drive of the Cupra, it seemed to have more space, no hassle with long doors that you get with 3 doors and some say the old Civic looks a bit like a van and the Cupra isn't as common. You can't beat the aggressive front end of the Cupra.

I'll be getting rid of my red one in the summer if your interested, may even chuck in my CUPRA plate for the right offer:cry:. Just had the doors seals done so you wouldn't have to worry about that.

Umm isn't that the same thing

What I meant was, shorter distances 0-50 the Cupra is quicker but flat out the Civic is suppose to catch up and be quicker by the time you hit 70. Read it somewhere, could be a load of rubbish.
