Cupra R Fans

Dear All,

On the CupraR when the air con is on and the car is idling, should both fans spin at low speed? On my car the fans do not spin unless the engine is very hot and then is spins very fast for about a min.

I read somewhere that these fans are a problem, can anyone help. And how would one explain this to a dealer?

Sounds like the fan control module is burnt out... very common with VAG cars, and unfortunately a problem my dealer never understood, instead waiting for the whole lot to burn out, and then only getting it half working

That's how mine seem to work, air con off - both fans off, air con on - both fans on.

make sure the outside temperature is above 5 degress or the ac doesn't work.but yes they should spin at a low speed when the ac is turned on
