Hi everyone,

We’ve put together a comparison of the CUPRA Raval and CUPRA Born, looking at everything from performance, battery and electric range to charging, interior tech and practicality.

If you’re considering making the switch to electric, take a look at our video to see how the two models compare and which might suit your lifestyle best.

Watch the full comparison here:

If you’re curious about the Raval or weighing it up against the Born, it’s a great opportunity to find out more.

Let us know in the comments – would you choose the compact, city-friendly Raval or the larger Born?

I like them both, but chose the Raval for our 2nd car as it will be used for more local trips and the FWD gives it good rear space.

I already have a larger EV (an ID7) with a 370 mile range (WLTP) for longer trips with luggage and four people if needed, It's a great cruiser but a bit of a "plank" to drive locally and on twisty roads though !!

If I just wanted/could afford one EV it would probably be the 77kwh Born (mainly for the range) to cover all options..

I choose Raval:

- To me both cars specced to personal tastes/preferences: 46,500 € Born VZ vs 38,500€ Raval VZ
- Raval looks way better to my tastes and reason for me is simple, the shape, the Born is the Boxy ID.3 look while it does a better styling job versus its VW sibling it's held back by the shape though when my preferences lie towards the sporty & aggressive side
- Raval is more fun/engaging/agile/nimble to drive despite Born being a bit faster
- Disc brakes front and rear (better feeling braking performance)
- Good space and range for its size (generally I prefer the feel of driving smaller cars but too small it becomes too impractical so it's a balance. Cars like R5 and Alpine A290 are too impractical for me (thinking of my workmates especially) while Raval manages to stay practical enough as not just a 2ndary but my primary (I'm single, seldom drive long trips), sure it also helps I prefer Raval's exterior design to both those as well.

The only thing I wish Raval had would be a headsup display option, would have paid extra for that being used to have the speedometer and speed limit floating in my pheripheral vision on my Mazda 3.
