Sorry, but im still little confused about them and the prices. As there are 2 different types of them, pre-fl and facelift cars right?! First one looking more like a skirt and covering the whole lower side when the second one is just like a blade, which one of these are the much-talked high price ones? Or the blade-type costs also a fortune?
Side skirts are the full things like these:
Pros:
Better looking.
Full skirt so covers the whole side including the nibble bits
Lowers the stance of the car.
Doesn’t widen the car to much so children won’t try to stand on them getting in the car.
Cons:
Needs a splitter painted at the front to balance/level the lower bodywork, otherwise the bumper (IMO) starts to look like it’s not low enough.
Price
Can’t fit the OEM front mudflaps.
Need to e sure the ends are painted Matt black or the inner arch pieces stick out like a sore thumb...
Blades are these, although mine have the carbon inserts...
Pros:
Cheaper (little)
Widen stance of car.
Works well well with the standard bumper.
Cons:
Doesn’t cover the full side.
Doesn’t lower the car so can look out of place with some splitters.
As it aosens a lot to the rear children may need try to use it as a step to get in the back.
