Sorry, but im still little confused about them and the prices. As there are 2 different types of them, pre-fl and facelift cars right?! First one looking more like a skirt and covering the whole lower side when the second one is just like a blade, which one of these are the much-talked high price ones? Or the blade-type costs also a fortune?

The full sideskirts fit regardless of pre-FL or FL, only difference being whether it's a 3-door or a 5-door. I don't know much about the blades, but would assume they're the same. I've seen recent posts where the blades are expensive, but like the full sideskirts, it depends on where you source them from and whether you are going to paint/fit them yourself, get a bodyshop to paint/fit them or go to a SEAT dealer and do a drive-in/drive-out. I was going to buy genuine SEAT sideskirts and rear spoiler for £310, and then get a local bodyshop to paint/fit them...... that was until they quoted me £1100 for the work! I don't think they needed the work. Drive-in/drive-out at a SEAT dealer, all in, is just over £1000.

We measured the side blades from Audi B8.5 and they actually can fit as the lower part bodyline is straight and looks the same. Wont stick out as much as Seat ones seems to, but either way they make the overall look much better. As im working in Audi dealership, the price was really low, only thing is the fitting and to be shure they line-up 100% with our cars. Well, at least it is one option to make the car look better..

Side skirts are the full things like these:

Pros:
Better looking.
Full skirt so covers the whole side including the nibble bits
Lowers the stance of the car.
Doesn’t widen the car to much so children won’t try to stand on them getting in the car.

Cons:
Needs a splitter painted at the front to balance/level the lower bodywork, otherwise the bumper (IMO) starts to look like it’s not low enough.
Price
Can’t fit the OEM front mudflaps.
Need to e sure the ends are painted Matt black or the inner arch pieces stick out like a sore thumb...

Blades are these, although mine have the carbon inserts...

Pros:
Cheaper (little)
Widen stance of car.
Works well well with the standard bumper.

Cons:
Doesn’t cover the full side.
Doesn’t lower the car so can look out of place with some splitters.
As it aosens a lot to the rear children may need try to use it as a step to get in the back.

Thanks Damo H, that was a great writeup to explain. Can someone throw the part numbers for both versions so I can look up the best price possible?!

Just edited with 2 extra cons for the full skirts.

I still think the skirts are better.

Yes, skirts looks a little better, but I like to use mudflaps so i wote for the blade. Going to test and measure a little more with the Audi ones and who knows, it can come out as a great option.
