Cupra ST Mud Flaps

Evening all! New to the forum and new to Cupras!

Just bought a 2019 Cupra ST DSG 4Drive upgrading from my Mk3 2013 Leon FR hatch 150 TDI. So bit of an upgrade!

Anyway, took my mudflaps off my Hatch and went to put them onto my ST but the rears didn't line up. I have googled and searched through the forums but most part numbers I see say the FR ST rear mudflaps won't fit the cupra. I understand the fronts are the same but not the rear.

Long story short does anyone have the part numbers for front and rear mud flaps for a Mk3.5 Cupra ST?

Thanks!

Presumably the Leon Cupra ST has a different rear bumper profile at the attachment point for mud flaps compared to other trim levels of the Leon ST, which is why the FR ST mud flaps don’t fit. If so, then it’s possible that OEM rear mud flaps may not have been manufactured for the Cupra ST if Seat / Cupra were of the view there’d not be sufficient demand for them for one specific model.

I’d suggest you check with the forum sponsor @COX Motor Parts who are suppliers of official Seat and Cupra parts and accessories - they should be able to advise you on whether or not genuine OEM rear mud flaps are available for your car.

The FR ST mudflaps fit the Cupra ST. There is a thread discussing this on this forum. Can't find the thread now unfortunately.
They use the same rear bumper but with a different diffuser.

Ok I was assuming it was like the hatch where the FR rear flaps do not fit the Cupra

The face-lift FR ST mudflaps have to fit the face-lift Cupra ST because it's the same bumper! The only difference is that the Cupra has the defuser insert which is different from the FR insert. The actual bumper is identical.

The front bumper is the same too except for the row of holes below the grill, different grill and different inserts at the fog lights.

I have both cars sitting in the back garden right now and yes, you get mudguards to fit as the FR ST has them.

Thanks for the reply all! I've reached out to Cox Motor Parts also.

H Rafiq unfortunately I've sold them already locally!

Anyone got pics of rear mud guards on their car?
I've fitted genuine ones to my rear and there's a few mm gap, have tried to loosen all screws and adjust but still a gap.
I'll send pics soon.

Can you not just enlarge the holes in the mud flaps? I think there is a gap on my wife's car's mud flaps and they were dealer fit.

Enlarge the holes? The holes match up correctly, and screws went in fine.
Passenger side is liveable but drivers side no so good.

That looks to me like it's more the shape of the rubber rather than the fit. The top of the guard it tight to the bumper but is angling out away from it. Just looks like a poorly made product. Perhaps one designed for another bumper being sold for this one despite not being a perfect fit. Maybe you could heat-gun the guard to persuade it into a more amenable position? Or shim out the inside edge of the mounting flange to push the guard into the bumper.

If you heat it there is a risk it'll deform and be scrap. I'd try the shim first. Loosen the screws, pop a length of something like thin plastic coated cable under the inside edge and tighten the screws up. See if it pulls the flap in. Should do.

I'll try this now, thanks

This has helped bring it in closer, still not 100% but it'll do.
Now that its on the car, not sure how much I like it lol.
If it's a small gap you could fill it with black silicone.

Matter of taste, mug flaps. I put them on my first car because I was young, daft and just wanted to do affordable things to my car. Not bothered with them since although they do dramatically cut down on damage from stones. My wife's car came with them, it was a demonstrator and had a few extras.

The especially do something for the people who drive behind you, much less for the driver of the car they are on if I am not mistaken

The looks are debatable off course. I also ran them on my Leon 1M
