Looks a lot better than the more basic models, but I'm still not convinced about the bonnet. It just looks a little wrong to me for some reason.

Me too, I just can't bring myself to like the nose, or the rear end. The nose on that car is far to high off the ground too. Okay, so it's not finished, but still...

Stop agreeing with me. You'll be copying me next. Oh. You already have... ;)

It's a great looking car from the centreline of the the front wheel back - but stare at this pic of the front for a while.........

It's wrong / out of proportion / like a beak.

Now imagine that front lower to the ground and the bottom being horitzonal rather than sloped downwards towards the front wheels as it is at present.

There ... now it looks better. :)

Anyone any good with photoshop fancy lowering and making horizontal the front splitter ???

Nah they just ruin cars. Help with the rest of pot holed britain too, to have a car with some clearance. There are some roads near me, i have to avoid, otherwise id crack something off the bottom of the car they are that bad. Even if you crawl along.

i bet you don't take the R to rick and karens very often, thats one nasty road, and its got no speed humps

Yer that is particurlarly bad. I've very nearly bottomed out on their road once or twice. :( And i wouldn't say my car is that low, its certainly not as low as some cars ive seen with coilovers fitted, mine are wound nearly all the way out, as im not looking for a low rider.

On that bottom pic is the rear wheel throwing snow in the air indicating AWD is it just coincidance especially with the amount of snow around the rear arch?

I was just thinking that exact same thing.....

Just to throw more fuel on the 4WD fire.

They have a Altea prototype that has a 2.0TFSI engine and runs with 4WD transmission.

It was mentioned in this news item last summer about John McEnroe's involvement in pimping the Altea.

SEAT McENROE Article July 2005

To qoute the section.

Meanwhile, John McEnroe enthused about driving the Spanish brand’s cars during his stays in Europe this year, beginning early August, when he will be playing a Seniors tennis tournament in Algarve, Portugal. There he is certain to drive a unique prototype of the Altea, fitted with a 200 hp TFSi engine and four-wheel drive transmission.

certainly more snow thrown out back than on the rear of the front arches, haldex kicks in when front looses traction .
arse end is sat lower in the pics, could be because of the AWD mechanicals, but its a left hooker, don't get counting your chickens yet guys ;)

The snow/spray from the fronts is being thrown past the rears.(and that's misleading) If it was FWD, you'd get spray from the rears, but looking at the volume of snow, I think its the haldex running at 15/25%..........

tyre pressures on each wing too, 34 front and 28 rear??would this be a clue to transmission?perhaps theres a boot full of telemtry?
