Rite when reving the engine at stand still its fine but once moving if i press heavy on the gas it actually sounds like darth vader but a damn sight louder infact it makes people jump if i go past them an the turbos in full swing, but its like just a suckin noise, ive check the air filter feed an it is pretty loose could that be whats making the noise?

An while im at if i drive with the window open an its been raining i get a shed load of water come though the window, i know that sounds daft cause it is open but ive had 8 cars an smoked in all of them an have never had water pee down off the windscreen or off the roof when i turn a corner an bounce straight in the car normally its chanelled and dispearsed elsewhere its almost like they made it so the windows clean themselves lol

id start with fitting airfeed secure first , they do whistle quite lout anyway ,

as for windows , i dont seem to have a problem, why not fit these cover wind deflector thingies , been covered on some threads before

cheers think ill have to make a visit to the dealer as where the feed pipe goes near te battery it has a recess for a clip but no clip lol

outta interest how easy were the hids to fit was it a simple plug n play?

Oh ive got an ibiza, the leon has a water channel across all the windows so it doesnt leak through open windows

not that difficult , plug and play , just had to cut a hole in the backing cover to allow the wires through ,

sounds more like a bit of a boost leak to me, you dont hear it when at stand still because the turbo isnt operating, it only operates under load which is what happens when your driving it.

I would be checking for boost leaks.

Mine sucks in air like mad! Pretty sure i have a boost leak but cba to take my bumper off again and check the intercooler pipework :/

It is common with the VAG stuff that the rubber 'O' rings on the pipe work start to break down and leak air. Common on the intercooler. Check under the car on the undertray or pipe work for any oil leaks. Obviously oil will be present as the turbo sweats when running and it runs oil though the air pipes.

Only when the O ring is letting it past. You can buy the o Rings from the dealer. Had a mate who worked at Audi and Skoda and told me about it. Looks as if mine is doing it slightly.

Took it in2 the dealer today an its got a split turbo hose, kinda miffed at meself cause i drove it so long with the turbo working overtime to keep pressure i just hope ive not damaged it

whats the best way to check for boost leaks? I dont have an undertray.

Took it to arnold clark, (pre-paid service plan....mistake.) and the day after i went to the trafford center via M62, and on the way back the dips in the road must of caused it to come off, if it hadnt been fitted properly.

They accecpted no liability, and there expensive, so i left it off lol

keep looking mate though someone was giving one away - or really cheap in the for sale section !!

i hope to get new piping , if its any long delay , might just relace all o rings for now

cant imagine them being expensive
