Same pressures for me with a 280 ST and works well but I put a few extra psi in if doing long motorway journey

How much pressure for winter/smaller tyres?

Now I have 18" 225/40 and 2.6 / 2.3 and on bumpy roads is bad :(

I was quite disappointed with the way my cupra crashed over road humps, I checked the pressures and found them to be correct but thought the recommended pressures a bit high. My previous car was a mondeo 220st which has a kw of 1490kg but its tyre pressures are 2.3(f) and 2.1(r). I immediately reduced mine to those and the cupra is much improved now. Not sure whether to go lower still.
Theres a guy on you tube (xthilox) who spends his time racing around the nurburgring (very well I should say!) with a modified cupra 280 and he uses 2.3 all round.

Does he use 2.3 on the road or the track though? 2.3 sounds right for the track but would've thought it was low for the road.

Typically you go lower for track to allow for the increase in pressure as they warm up. If you started with 37 or more psi it would soon shoot up
to well over 40 and the tyres would feel greasy as the contact patch of the tyre would have decreased in size due to being overinflated.

18" wheels tyre pressure

Hi guys, Seat recommends the tyre pressure 2,7 bar front / 2,6 bar rear for 19" inch wheels (Leon ST Cupra 280).

I went for OZ Racing Omnia 8x18" ET45 with Michelin Pilot Sport 4 tyres (225/40 R18). Shall I go with lower pressures? How much do you recommend for daily driving (max. 2 persons inside)?

Thank you.
