Hi guys,

My cupra appears to have developed a rattle of some kind, it's only audible when my foot is off the accelerator?

I installed yesterday a Forge atmospheric spacer, but the rattling sound wasn't there when I installed it initially? Just hope something hasn't blown?

Hello Joshkcupra,

I recently bought my Cupra, with the same sound, after doing some research underneath the bonnet, they told me it was the fuelpipe which caused the noise, because it was vibrating a bit. They found this problem but pressing the pipes while someone was in the car listening if the problem is gone. They fixed it within 10 minutes. Hopes this helps for you.

Thanks a lot mate, I just had a prod under the bonnet whilst my brother sat in the car and the noise has disappeared! Lets hope it stays this way!

I had a really annoying noise in my cupra that sounds like you describe, turns out it was a fuel line that runs under the car rattling, i just took the cover off under the car and put some sticky rubber near the points that touched the car and it stopped.

The cover is under the car on the drivers side, if you look under, it's secured with some torx screws, 10 minutes gets it off. you'll see about 4 lines running, touch them and the noise will stop, but as soon as you take it off (if the car is running) you'll hear it get louder.

The sound really does sound like it's in the engine but it really was coming from underneath (at least for me)

That's it indeed, they told me they fixed it like you describe.
