Custom Dynatwist

Here's a pic of my custom dynatwist, some will like it, bling engine bay boys will hate it.

It has better flow than a standard dynatwist and is nearly as good as an open but it has the added bonus of being right behind the vented wing.

It's not pretty but it works.

I like the vented wing:p.... just stay away from large puddles lol im thinkng, bet it gets good air flow tho :thumbup:

Rick, i've already bent 2 conrods through sucking up water 3 months after i bought the car - STANDARD AIR BOX & INTAKE!!

TimD, it's a litetuned bonnet bought it secondhand well my insurance company did:D

redcupratdi, it's not a coffee tin but that would be perfect for the job and cheaper than hacking up a dynatwist ;)

Damn bet that was costy:(..... im assuming u had the vented wing wiv the stardard air box then?

Aye it was, delayed the modifying a fair bit. Seat wanted to write it off!! Car was totally standard!! Only vented the wing in jan/feb!

Any more details on what happened with the melted engine..?

Where was the cold intake positioned, etc!?

No not really, the stanard intake sits right above the wheel arch. There were over 50 cars most VW/Audi/SEAT/Skoda in aberdeen had the same thing happen on the same night. All the vag garages were out the door them.

The real pisser was that i had a pipercross open filter fitted but i took it off a few days before and if i'd left it on the car would have been fine!
