What wheels you looking at getting?

I have some 18x8 Black Rotiform Reps for sale if your interested?

I'm looking at any alloys at a good price at the moment. Nothing fancy as have other plans. Would be good if I bought alloys already in black.

Depends what sort of money you looking for mate and if they come with tyres?

Cheers Damian

Car's looking good mate, interested to see how the mods develop :D

Cheers mate. Your old seats are getting a refurb soon. ;)

First Spring Cleaning

It was quite a nice day today, so decided to work on my car. Other then a clean outside and a really good clean inside, I've removed that nasty tints, plasti-dipped red strip under the spoiler and the 3rd stop light, sticker on the bonnet and installed resistors for numberplate LEDs so they won't blink or die as quickly.

A lot of photos has been taken as spent nearly 9 hours to do all that so its the time to show how she's standing at the moment.

Mate, car is looking v. good. Hard work is paying off!
Cheers mate! Well, I have put loads of time towards this car, and still not achieved what I want, but hopefully during summer Ill manage.

How did you paint the S front and rear badge?!
I used plastidip. Its liquid which can be sprayed and turns into rubber when dried. Very easy and great looking. Search YouTube on how to do those but its very easy and lasts for long.

Throwback of how I masked mine. Painted the whole "square" and pealed off the rubber around the S.

Anyway, some updates:
Got my mate 18"s on for a bit as looking to buy some myself. These are with 10mm spacers on. Not impressive and I would like to have some bigger spacers, but saving money for something big. [B)]

Mate, try eBay, around 180 quid a set for JOM ones, hoping to get some myself in the next week :)

Sent from my HTC One using Tapatalk

Seen them mate, not sure of the brand, but I think -40mm springs will do. :p

Finally managed to get some alloys. Coming of a subaru impreza. Love them. :funk:

Question for you mate, what did you do to your speedometers, they look great!

The white dials were custom made by a guy in Poland, chrome rings were bought on ebay and illumination changed to white by replacing few LEDs. Oh yeah, and my needles are coming from a Cupra  (Gray instead of black)

very nice motor mate, plenty of little touches make it look well

Cheers mate. Many hours of work went into this car.

Got a full valet today with a great polish and wax. First little step for the paint as I guess it wasn't polished in some time! Next will be claying, paint corrections and paint work and again full polish. But that will be over summer holidays.

Performing my first service soon before my MOT which is next month. Car is getting sold at the end of September so nothing major is coming. I want to bring the car to Top A condition.

Performing service:
- New quality engine oil
- New iridium NGK sparkplugs
- New cabin filter
- Cleaning the K&N filter with K&N cleaning kit
- New sump plug
- Cleaning engine bay
- Painting cylinder cover red
- New sealant for cylinder cover

Question!:
Also I will need some new bushes on drivers side. Can anyone tell me which would be better option (moneywise-timewise) 1. getting a service to swap bushes for new ones (I would buy powerflex for left and right side) or getting full wishbone replacement with regular bushes and swapping it over myself (if its not a tricky job?)

And newest photos I took recently:

Thanks

So, sadly never managed to take any photos while serviced my car but done everything apart from painting the cover red, which I want to do next. Car feels very smooth after new oil, as some oil leaked out before.

Will post some engine bay photos after painting the cover red as cleaned the bay a little and gave some parts black paint. I will also do a little comparison to engine bay when I bought the car, since the car is getting sold soon.

Thanks
Damian

Really good to see a 1.4 modified to this standard, usually people just laugh and say buy a Cupra! I've a little 1.4 myself but haven't had the money to do much modifying! Just trying to keep it clean and tidy! Think I'm just going to save for some nice wheels, lower it and get bump strips colour coded!

Goodluck with the sale in Sept man!
