Thought I left enough room for power tailgate to open safely, alas not the case.

Damage is to edge of tailgate on one side, will try to upload photo later.

Apart from the obvious leaving more room for tailgate to open, is there any protection I can use to protect the tailgate edge?

Set the opening height of the boot lower than the obstacle you just hit (open the boot, stop it where you want it then hold the switch on the inside of the boot until the indicators flash)

Thank you, I'll do that. Knowing me I'll forgot the boot opens lower and bang my head on it🤣
