Has any one tried to take the Chill sticker off their ibiza? If so how did they do it? Was it a hair dryer at all? Will it just peel off?

this doesnt really apply to my car but i would have said if its a sticker then peel it off....slightly heat the excess glue.....wipe off as best you can and then have a polishing frenzy....

or

heat to start with and apply the same techniques as above??

WHAT????

No screwdriver on this one?

Used a hairdryer on my Chill stickers when I had mine, warm it up, not too much then start peeling, give it a quick wipe down to get rid of the residue the sticker leaves behind and them stick em on someones forehead. Job Done

or.........for an alternative removal technique, the biggest, nastiest looking screwdriver you can lay your hands on, preferably rusty for that wow factor! works every time......very trusty tool!! lol

or get a sander to it, that will remove everything and leave no evidence lol

good idea!!

Also, if your sanding belt is blocked with cack from previous use and you dont have a brush to get the cack out, an angle grinder and a some oxy-acetaline will do fine.

Remember, if you go down the angle grinder route......you also automatically qualify for stage 3 weight reduction while in the process of sticker removal.

PLEASE NOTE: All advise given is strictly on a no come back basis..........

serious though...hairdryer is what you want

i had to 'de sticker' my entire cordy when i first got it cos it was covered in graphics. wish i had just used a hair dryer from the beginning. minimal effort

yeah go with the hair dryer, if you thinking of completely debadging the back end, tell you what i did. i took all the letters forming 'seat ibiza' off and stuck em on the front bumper just above the fog light. cant remember where i got the idea from cos i did it ages ago and it looks alright. the funny thing is when i got a parking ticket, the parking attendent thought it was a saab, even tho it says seat ibiza at the front. makes you think what type of people they employ lol

ok cheers guys! I went with the hair dryer and the back came off a treat, but the divers side left the sticky stuff all on! so i wacked out some WD-40 and that did the trick! Worked really well actually!

Thanks once again
