As far as I know all the K1's start life as a normal Cupra (they arrive off the boat from spain in cupra form anyway). The body kit and zorst are fitted by Seat UK the K1 is born. (sorry if you already know that)

Mine is a leased company car so don't have the V5 but the insurance company have it down as a Cupra K1 on the cert. Which is pulled from the DVLA via the reg number.

oh and white with black wheels is the new black ;)

Well, finally got my act together and went with a Candy White with black wheels.

Got an excellent deal from Irfan in the end.

Had been planning to get one from the dealer in Swindon, got a real hard sell from them.

Decided in the end to not deal with them, had to get Seat customer services on the case.

If anyone is looking for a good deal I can certainly recommend Irfan and his crew.

Spent yesterday giving it a quick clean, paint is in pretty good nick, should be, it is an exdemo with only 5500 miles on the clock.

It will be getting a full paint correction and a nanotech paint protection in the coming weeks, along with a remap (Revo or AMD) and lowering.

It drives really well, should be fantastic with the remap.

Congratulations on your purchase and the fact you went for the best colour combo as well.

...get a stage 1 remap on it and i guarantee you will be impressed :D

Well I had the Revo Stage on my Mark V GTi (not Ed30) that I had before the Cupra and that was fantastic, so much better than stock.

In fact I find the stock Cupra not quite as responsive as the remapped GTi, so that is an added reason for doing it.

It wont be mate , gti little ko3 turbo , wuick spool time , Cupra huge ko4 bad boy takes a little longer to get going but when it does warp speed ( well nearly lol)

figured it was probably down to the longer spool up time because of the larger turbo, good to have that confirmed.

Going for a remap that is supposed to give a smoother transition to boost, maybe that will help, time will tell.....

Plus with the stage1 remaps the low end torque is limited as the std fuel pump can't provide enough juice so power doesn't come in properly until 4K+.

With an uprated fuel pump low and midrange are boosted massively.

just got back from AMD having had the car remapped with their own map.

That gets you a before and after RR run as part of the price.

It has gone from 263BHP to 325BHP, and from 224lb/ft to 321lb/ft, torque peaks at 3500rpm, first impressions are that the car is very nice and responsive, much better than stock.

It will no doubt improve a little bit more over the next few days.

Also had the Forge DV fitted, in my opinion with that power it is an essential extra.

At the same time I had Eibach Sportline springs fitted, much better stance now, and it doesn't appear to have made the ride harsher, so all in all an excellent change.
